From what I know the 34mm fork tubes are from the early 70's...70-73.http://www.biker.net/70-73_650_parts/xs1%20parts%20main.html
This link is the diagram. If the link doesn't work go to www.biker.net and the manual for that year should help.
Anyone know the stock length of the fork spacers in a 73 tx650 with 34mm tubes? I just swapped out the +6 fork tubes for standard length. There was a spacer with the extended fork tubes that was about 9" long or so, I left it out. Now my forks/trees fall to within a few inches of the fork...
I'll double check but I thought they just sold the seat covers? I'm trying hard for an original stock seat and pan but not sure exactly what it looks like. Thanks for the direction.
Just bought a nice 73 tx650 but it has a king/queen seat. Anyone know exactly what the stock seat looks like (exterior & pan)? A few pics would be awesome and greatly appreciated!
Louis, I happen to have a 73 tx650 as well and just took off the king/queen seat. If you are still interested, let me know and I can get you pics of the seat and pan. I believe it is already set up to fit this bike's standard seat attachment! I also have some extended forks that I plan on...
still in need of these? I have some off a 73' tx 650. 34MM extended...I'd guess about 6" but not sure since I don't know how to measure or the what the standard size is.
Lots of details with the 73 I see. Let me know about the forks and seat when you chase them down. If there is anything you need me to measure or check out for fitment, I'll try.
I'll check it out but I see where you are going with this...the forks are 6" longer than standard so I see we could potentially have some problems. If that won't work...do I just buy fork tubes and replace them or get the whole fork system? Thanks for the thoughts on all this.
