Yes, the TCI would not like reverse polarity either. I have an XS2, so was not thinking about the fact they ditched the points.

You did not mention replacing the condenser/capacitor. I would suspect you would blow that out reversing the polarity, most capacitors don't like reversed polarity.

Does anyone have a recommendation for a replacement throttle that includes the perch for the decompression lever? I am moving the kill switch to the other side or maybe hidden under the triple tree area, and don't need a starter button, but wanted to keep the decompression lever for easier...

Does what it says on the tin. When I grab the decompression lever and kick it, I get something a little extra: a tingle up the arm as I get mildly shocked. Bad ground? Leakage from the kill switch? Arcing from the plug wires?
