Handle bars vibes really not that bad . I have new bushings, the seat is about to be rubber mounted. The seat is the main problem. The forward controls are pretty bad . I know there is not much I can do with them . I have a spare motor . I think I might do the rephase on that this winter.
I get what your saying . I am fully aware of what I have done will not help with any vibes. I don't ride long distance . Just trying to cut vibes down just a bit.
I don't have the mikes 5th anymore. Took it out due to it slipping out of gear . After going through the clutch, all the springs. The gear was the problem so I went back with stock
I am sure this has been asked before, but I can't seem to find it. Can you run a 30 tooth rear with out modification ? I would like to get rid of some vibes at highway speeds. I tried mikes 5th gear . Had no luck . So I am running at 32 rear sprocket now , thinking of going with a 30 ?
I just put my motor back together last week for the second time after removing "mikes 5th". The clutch push rod seal is leaking . This seal was new . Any way to replace this seal with out splitting case? 2 nd oil leak- the gasket where the jug meats the case is leaking. This was also a new...
I have the monstercraft brat kit . I am getting a good amount of vibes through the seat . Is there anyway to rubber mount the seat and keep it low profile? Was looking at the air shock set up , but that looks like it will raise my seat to high? Any ideas ?
I was putting my motor back together tonight, went to tighten the oil tube going to the top of the head. The nut on the bottom cracked . Don't really want to pay 76$ for the one from mikes. I have not had good luck with parts from mikes. Is there any other options? Or should I just buy one from...
My clutch was fine and assembled with new ( better) bearings from 650 central , new push rod, heavy springs, all washers in right place. No discolour on steels. No problems until 5 th gear . I am going swap out transmission with extra one I had laying around. Don't know what else the new gear...
Well I think I found the problem . After splitting the case . The dogs on the gears on 5th were rounded and chewed up a little bit . I am trying to up load a pic . Every thing was installed right . So I am going to replace the whole tranny . I had a extra one from a spare motor. I really don't...
I can second his statement. Feels as if you pulled the clutch in . I went through my whole motor this winter. No problems before rebuild . After rebuild and 5 th gear install . Same problem as OP. my shift forks were fine . Clutch assembly is perfect .
Is is possible that maybe that the shifter is out of adjustment? I am willing to try anything other than splitting the case again. I am running heavy clutch springs , but I know they made heavier?
