Hi, im rebuilding my first xs650 engine. Its a 477 with 0.25 pistons. The LH cylinder was burning oil, and on inspection the LH cylinder has some ring marks. You cant feel a edge on the marks and I've done 30 seconds of honing but don't know how much I can do. Can I have advice on what to...

Just put on the PWK's and the bike fires and starts straight up, Havent road tested yet but all i want to check before i take it out is the syncing. I have a homemade manometer. Where do i adjust it on the carbs. Does anyone know a setup procedure and a whats what picture. I'm more of picture...

Well, there are some really good threads on this, sounds like there pretty crap. I can get the Kleihins from Heidens for $420 or the VM34's for $700. Both come with all the boots, cables and filters. It just seems that the Kleihins are cheaper but you need to do a lot of tinkering to get them...

Has anybody used these carbs, I was going to replace the stock BS38 with a set from Heiden Tuning KEHIN PWK 32mm. Before I spend the pounds I want to be sure. I have searched the forum and one reply was cheap rubbish

Right, Just done the following, Stripped and cleaned the advance mech and rod. Shortened the spring buy one curl. And they know snap back in position. One thing worries me, I have read that there is bit of paint on one arm and one on the sleeve. Thats not on mine so does that really matter...

Hi, Out riding the bike after a strip down and rebuild, engine was left. I have replaced the points, coils, resister, HT Leads and put new plugs in. Set the ignition timing and checked with the light. Took the bike out for a spin and for the first 5 miles it was spot on. Then it seemed to go...

On mine. The bike had stood for ages. After running it up. The exhaust is really oily and you do get a good drip from the exhaust. The engine doesn't seem like its loosing a cylinder. But when its hot it has a valve tap. Adjusted the valves as per spec. but it is worrying.

Hi, I have an Omars flat track tank which has develped a crack in one of the seams. I'm thinking of changing it, other than a standard tank can you suggest an alternative tank for a flat tracker. thanks in advance Ken

Hi, Bit of a weird request bike my bike is in for repair, but ineed to but a cafe racer style front mudguard, can anyone tell me what the distance is between the lugs on front forks. and possibley the distance from centre of the bolt holes to the top of the tyre. thanks
