Drilled mag wheels?

Remember, the Buell front wheels utilized a perimeter brake disk specifically to lighten the torque load of braking at the hub and direct the torque to the rim. Do NOT take the Buell spoke pattern to be safe with a hub centric brake arrangement.

It means the brake disc on the Buell is bolted to a stronger part of the rim than a standard design (xs650), so comparing the Buell wheel to the Yamaha is comparing apples to oranges.

What he said. Notice that the Buell hub only supports the weight of the bike and rider. It does not have to deal with the torque of braking as that torque is directed directly to the wheel rim NOT the wheel hub. Notice the pic of the Buell 1125cr where the front brake disk is attached directly to the rim.
