valves ajustement

These are the virago adjuster screws that I fitted to mine. The hex head does make things that much easier.

They do fit a bit lower than the standard ones but it’s no problem and the locknut still nips up ok.

WOW! Yeah those are soft smooshed in junk. Best to go get some genuine Yamaha adjusters.
Good news is they are cheap and easy to replace. Still got your original adjusters?

yes really bad, do you think the cause could be the oiling in the head like Jim suggest to verified or really bad quality of adjustors?
yes i still have my old one and they still in good shape. just more difficult to ajust, i will order some virago ones.

I filed out a REALLY cheap wrench to fit. Done dozens of valve adjustments with it. No torque,

The square top on the stock adjuster screw is 4mm. Craftsman makes a nice little ignition wrench set that contains that size open end. I've used it for many years. I recently discovered this little gem though on eBay. A little T handle for $3. It works great .....
