It's been replaced. Even though I always kept it "juiced up", as you can see in the pic, it started to kink up anyway. It was just a $20 J.C.Whitney chain anyway so I can't complain. It gave me many years and many thousands of miles of service before it got "the kinks", lol.

As for leaks, I've been chasing one for a couple of months now. Bottom of the motor has oil on it after a run but nothing drips whilst its standing and it doesn't seem to use a significant amount. Would appear to be a simple gasket leak on the R/H side but I don't want to pull that off until next oil change so I am a member of the "Japanese Triumph" club - at least for now. As Mailman says, "Ride - Wipe - Ride" and doing some pleasant miles.

in further inspection I’ve found that the head gasket was leaking and blowing back down under the motor
Spent long time cleaning everything then ride for 10 miles to confirm
Retorqued head per valuable advice from all forum experts w/ 32ft lbs on Acorns seem to do it all others to OEM spec
No more leaks
Will pull clutch cover soon and inspect it does seem a bit of a mist present either clutch pushrod or c/s sprocket will thoroughly clean that all out and go from there nothing severe at this point

Upon pulling clutch cover was able to turn C/S nut about 1/8 of a turn hope that will stop the weep ,took about 2 long hours to thoroughly clean area to spotless and install new o ring chain as well as the whole area hidden since about 1977 I’ll bet? So grimy in there that no way to know
Cleaned clutch cover as well to spotless and disassembled worm gear and applied light grease
it’s so clean in there now it’s a shame to put the cover back on....hope it’s not coming off soon,hope weep is gone, if not I now know with all the great minds out there that any of the 3 seals in that area are easy ish to do

After 8 mile ride it appears that 1/8 of a turn on C/S sprocket nut stoped any leakage thanks for the advice!
