    Let's See The XS's

OK, I hate to open this back up but I just saw this... I agree with the above statement for the most part, people are making all sorts of bastardized bikes and calling them brats. I took most of my inspiration from Bratstyle in Tokyo after visiting their shop while on tour with my band...

Yeah I think I'm going to leave it alone for now. If i do change anything in the future it will be to start blacking out more of the aluminum and chrome and adding a lot of brass bits.

The seat mounts to the frame at four little tabs that have been welded to the rails, one at the front behond the tank mount, two on the sides by the shocks and one at the rear center of the loop. The seatpan is made of sheet metal with...

ok just got an idea... What if i lifted the rear up a few inches again and fitted a modern front end (r1, gsxr etc...) and an 18" wheel, and then do the rearsets Then maybe fit some modern chunky dual sport tires like trail wings or some trials tires. Probably give it less of a wrenchmonkees...

hehe, the seat is actually pretty forgiving, i used 3 layers of an old camping sleeping pad and it's pretty high density stuff. As far as the tank goes, i'm thinking of maybe having it plated. possibly a dark nickel or an aged brass look. I might just go with a satin black/gold pinstripe job also.

How do you remove XS1B speedo gear

I would make that tool with an appropriately sized socket wrench and a dremel. Marker off the little areas that will act as the pegs and remove everything else...
