This was in the little recess by the drain plug. Any idea as to what it is? Oh, and the valve cap is just for reference........that wasn't in there.

Just did my first oil change on my '79 650..... The oil filter bolt has a spring in it, but nothing else. Shouldn't I have a ball bearing also, and a threaded cap to hold it all in?

So, I drank too much on Christmas Eve last year and accidently bought an XS....FROM MINNESOTA. I live in TX. Who else has done that? Here is what I started with.

The plastic bit inside the hub on the opposite side of the disc..... How do I get the #*^Â¥ er out without breaking it? Is it just pressed in or???

I've done a bit of research in regard to "fat tyres" on a '79. Bike is bone stock with mags. It seems the largest front and rear is 110/90 and 140/90. Can someone confirm this? If anyone has pictures of this set up, that would be great. If I can go larger, then even better.

Merry Christmas! First post on website. I just bought a '79 from ebay. It will be here in about 10 days. I have a few bikes that I only ride on the track, both dirt and asphalt. I decided to get back on the street, but with something tame that I won't ride like an idiot. Last two...
