Off of 1980 parts bike. Swiped the motor for myself and what else is salvagable will be up for grabs, dont wanna scrap this stuff. Starter spins with 12v battery charger hooked up. Lower tree has been electrolysized so is rust-free but pitted. Same with risers, rubbers are in good shape...

Ok this is on a 400 but the sytem is very similar to the 650s with the three pole flasher and self cancelling sytem.
Problem: Right turn signal operatesnormally. Left turn signal does not function, but instead the taillight, tag light, and oil/neutral indicator lamps blink when the left turn...
Nixxed the right side handlebar switch in favor of generic MX levers. Bike has drums front and rear. Trying to come up with how to incorporate a brake light switch without it looking cobbled up or out of place. Any ideas?? Im sure Im not the first to do this... :shrug:
.....more like yer little sister's!!! Well I startin to see the light at the end of the tunnel, so I thought Id thow up some pics of what I do when Im not choppin!! This bike is an '80 XS400 Special II, it belongs to a friend of mine (she's also my tattoo artist, I love trading labor!!)...
Anybody know where I can get tapered bearings and races to fit a 400 or if the 650 parts will work? Got the frame down for paint and I hate to put those dam ball bearings back in while I got it apart.....Thanks.
