    Blow-By Attachments To Pods

I replaced my stock air filters with pods, and recently figured out a way to run my blow-by hoses into the back of my new pods. The fixtures are from ACE, and cost about 5 clams each. Each fixture needs two large nuts (insert Michael Scott comment here). One stops the fixture from butting...

    Homemade Tachometer Part

I fabbed a part for the bike this week, and wanted to pass along the idea in case anyone needs something similar. The missing part was the threaded attachment on the RH engine cover for the tach cable to thread onto. A PO lost it and held things together, mostly, with wire. I mainly used a...

    Rebuildable Shocks

It's time to replace the rear shocks on the 75 650. Are there any shocks out there that average owners can rebuild themselves? I can find Youtube videos for rebuilding mono shocks and snowmobile shocks, as well as videos for making a spring compressor to remove the springs on standard...

    High Praise For Uncle Ken

My first xs650 was a '75 that a friend gave me. He never could iron out its charging problems, so he gave it to me when someone else gave him a sweet Honda v45. I was lucky to find Uncle Ken online somehow back then. Not only was he helpful in clearing up the charging problems, he also...

    75 650B Gaiters Added

I finally got around to replacing my fork seals and adding gaiters. I also did some tune-up work—new coils, wires, caps, and Iridium plugs. I adjusted cam tension, reset the gap on the points, and set the timing. Dang near runs like a new bike!

Are Kick Starter Shafts/Gears Same For All Years?

Title pretty much says it all. But . . . I have a 75 650B and the kick starter does not engage the motor. If I need to replace the kick starter shaft and gear, which years are interchangable? Thanks in advance.

    Finally Got A(nother) 650

I can be official now. I picked up a 1975 XS650B in Solverthorne, CO a few weeks back, and I've been fiddling with it since. I've replaced the rear tire with a knobbly dual-sport (Kenda K270 4.50-18), and swapped out the original (bent) handlebars with CL350 bars. I finished rehabbing...

    Back in the crowd

Just joined, and I'm in the market for an XS650. My home is in WI, but I'm working in CO right now, and looking for bikes in and around CO. I have a couple leads at the moment, but any others are welcomed. My first bike was a 1975 XS650B, and like many of us, I regret having ever sold it...
