Kaptain Kluge
My first xs650 was a '75 that a friend gave me. He never could iron out its charging problems, so he gave it to me when someone else gave him a sweet Honda v45.
I was lucky to find Uncle Ken online somehow back then. Not only was he helpful in clearing up the charging problems, he also passed along a number of other nuggets of experience and wisdom.
I got another '75 650 last fall to compensate for selling my first one years ago, and this weekend I finally got around to giving it a good tune up. Once again I broke out the emails I got from Ken over 10 years ago to guide me through. I even used my turn signal to set my timing.
The bike runs like a dream now.
Three cheers for Uncle Ken!
