I need a lesson in brakes 101. Why do the drum rear drum brakes on my 79 xs squeal like a pig? They stop great but heads turn. Would love to know what to look for before I disassemble. Thanks.

I think its about time to improve the original front disc brake on my 79 xs 650 2f. I'm not looking for performance as much as practicality. Would love some advice from the learned minds of this site as where to start and is Mikes XS a good place for upgrade parts. Thanks

I bought a shaft extender from Caswell and turned my Craftsman 8" bench grinder into a poor mans buffer. I work through black, red, white and blue with the proper wheels and end up with quite a nice piece. But it is dirty. I brave the weather and do it outdoors.
