Is there an application to update the and make tci inoperable being close to 30 year old. My 83 xs650 might be needing a new and improved ignition. What does every one think. Instead of looking for a tci what can I replace it with??

Hey every one, got an 83 xs650 where I do and don't have spark. I spray starting fluid in carbs and nothing I use the starter and just cranks no headlight I kick and headlight on. So I think the pick up coil works but might have a problem with the ignition coil. I need some kind of direction...
