    I can't believe with all my searching i haven't found that thread. I feel like an idiot :banghead:. It's amazing! Going to read it 10 times then try to figure things out. Might be a couple days as I'm working everyday 12 hours until August and i have a family who needs my attention.

    Thank you all for your input! What i have gathered is: 1. Use original charging system for less power or, 2. Use original ignition (points) because it won't burn them up or, 3. Put in halogen lights to burn up excess power. But definitely get rid of capacitor and add battery and put reg/rec...

    One thing that's saved me a couple times is an emergency cable change kit. I keep one in the tool bag at all times. Found them on amazon for around $10 - $15

    Nope, I'll try again to clarify what i need. There are rubber grommets and washers that hold the fork ears (headlight brackets) in place between the triple trees.     carbs backfiring

    When i was putting my carbs on i was using pop bottle. It was causing vacuum in the bottle as it was sucking the fuel out because i didn't have a vent on the bottle. This caused back firing through the carbs. Long story short, is your gas tank vented properly?
