First time out after rebuild. Starts up & runs fine, carbs have been rebuilt & synced, fuel levels set. Bike has no power & dies as if starving of fuel. This bike has been converted to electric ignition (don't know if that is a factor) Any ideas ? Thanks.

1978 XS650 SE I can't find a picture on the parts diagrams. What is the orientation of the rubber gaskets & large washers that fit on top / bottom of the headlight brackets. This bike has the chrome 'YAMAHA' cover on the bottom yoke.

'78 XS650, the breather plate has 2 outlets (my diagram shows one) inside the outlets are rubber plugs with small hole through the middle, is this someone's idea of a mod' ?

I dumped the cancel unit, fitted a 2 prong electronic flasher unit to brown & br-w indicators work as they should, but, the meter light goes off when the indicators are on ???

If I dump this do I have to bridge anything ?

When I disconnect the box, I get no headlight, but tail on all the time- I have, already pulled the blue / black from the relay so I can switch the headlight from the right controls. What is the fix ? Thanx.
