Stainless Steel Brake Lines for '77 XS650

Well most things on the bike were re-done. That is, kept in good working condition. My inlaws were avid bikers and kept up with the bikes. Hoses are supple and not dry rotted etc. There was/is really no need to change them so I will leave them as is. Less hassle, fewer variables and more time...

For Sale - Running 1977 xs650 big bore 750 cc lots of mods $4000 SoCal

I understand you put a lot into the bike, but thats the dangerous thing about going full tilt with a vision - its yours and not everyone's cup of tea. I gather, not many ppl are going to spend $5000 on a XS650 that, in excellent stock condition is only worth $2500. Not trying to dissuade you...

Right. I do thank you for suggesting the brake lines. After having a think about it, and reading a linked post which said no noticeable change was gained from going to braided from stock, Ive decided Im going to keep the bike brake lines stock. No upgrade at all. Problem solved and job done...

Stainless Steel Brake Lines for '77 XS650

I understand that but with a wife and 2 young kids, I need more than experienced vouchers. I have to make decisions that ensure my future and safety. Im not comfortable with a $5.99 brake line and would rather spend more at a reputable dealer. Working within my comfort zone should not be...

Stainless Steel Brake Lines for '77 XS650

I changed the handlebars on my XS which may affect the length of the top brake hose. Currently my top front brake line is about 13-14 inches. The bottom is 18". Where might I find stainless steel brakelines?

Bike was running great. Then "Old Man Winter"

I have a number of Yamahas. The only one I let sit out - covered, is the Maroon 77 XS650 which my inlaws gave me a month ago. Yesterday, after it sat out for 10 days in below freezing temps (lead acid battery) , i put the battery back in (I had taken the battery out when it got cold and brought...

    1977 XS Mag Wheels

Ive decided no way am I going to change a thing. except the handlebars on one of them, but i'll keep them original. I just dont understand ppl who cut up bikes, then get bored and try to sell them for thousands more than they are worth even in stock condition.

    1977 XS Mag Wheels

About a month ago I picked up the pictured 1977 XS650. I want to put mag wheels on this bike. Any ideas which wheels from which years are a direct swap onto my bike? Also what are some good brand vintage mags? I like lesters but I know they are hard to find. Thanks in advance.
