    Buchanan's spokes

My rim that I bought from Buchanan's is a dimple excel 4.25, punched out to match the hub off an 81 xs650 wheel. I think it looks like shit. They should have punched it more in the dimple.

Lace Excel rim to stock rear hub?

you may just have to cut the spokes after you lace them.

    Buchanan's spokes

I didn't like how the nipples sat in the dimples, so I sent it back to buchanan's for them to lace it. They provided the spokes, rims, and punched the holes. They laced them up exactly how I did it and had to cut the spokes down. I still don't like how the nipples are sitting. :wtf:

    35mm triple trees

If you had trouble putting them on, you might be bowing the forks out a little if they are 34mm forks with 34mm lower triple.

    Buchanan's spokes

They should have received my rim today, I'll keep you posted once they call and tell me what's up...after they charge me for lacing n tru, i'm gonna be about 6 bills on that freaking wheel. If I had to do it over, I would've just bought Omar's conversion kit for the hub and I wouldn't have to...

    Steering Stabilizer?

You just fabricate a bracket on the frame downtube and I would put it on the left side of the bike.

That's pretty cool, wish I didn't live in an apartment.

    Buchanan's spokes

I don't think so, as long as there's the same number of holes. It's a bigger rim so the holes will be further apart....and I would just drill them out.

    Buchanan's spokes

The front rim shouldn't be a problem as the hub size is similar in size. I'm using motard/ dirt bike rims. The hub on the rear wheel is significantly different.

I bought an 81 xs650 with matching Title but the DMV wants me suffer. they seem evil

How many names are on the title? Is it just a clear title with the owners signature on it?

    Buchanan's spokes

That's what I thought, but they told me that there's 2 or three different spoke width and nipple sizes. I called before I had my rims to try and get ahead, but I had to wait for that. All in all, it was a pain in the ass. Make sure you have the rim in front of you when you call.
