ive got the tci on my 81 and it works so im going to run it that way, ill use a smaller battery since i dumped alot of the exrtra crap on the xs that i didnt need. I intend on a kick only, headlight and brake light and thats all. From what i know about the points system is that it can require...

id suggest setting up an alligator clip with spark plug grounded to the motor and check for spark at the plug....if you get nothing try a diff plug to rule out a spark plug, more than likely a bad coil

i know how you feel gordon, im an auto mechanic that has to buy all his own tools because we work on all makes and models....thousands of specialty tools and regular tools...11k tool box from snap-on and maybe 20k in tools alone...i work with two other guys, 2 apprentice techs(oil/tire guys) and...

so it must be similar to chroming....copper/nickle/chrome......still looks cool.....must require alot of cleaning to keep the shine
