Time to build something else ....thinking about a HD Sprint Vintage road racer

Any place that has industrial chains and gears will have half links They are quite common used them all the time when I was young and too poor to replace a streched chain and taking out a link was too much They do exist

I am frustrated , you think I would clearly see warped plates , a sticky clutch rod , or something.... nothing jumps out

Just that this bearing when worn would create a grabby conditin

Hi I just put my tracker on the road The clutch seems to have a good smooth pull but is grabby , that is, I let it out it does not grab right away then it does Its not slipping When I built the bike I put on a new cable, new clutch rod , new springs , checked the plates to make sure...

Its finished decals on , brakes bled ,running Pictures in a day or two

I did it on my 1974 Sreet Tracker.... pictures in another thread I purchased a wrecked special so I used the swing arm etc from it Machined up 2 half round mild steel spacers bolted them to an old master cylinder to get spacing right installed the brake pedal and rod to the master...

The blue is the same as Ford engine blue

I did the same humming and hawing over the headlight vs plate..... finally thought the number plate looked too much like a racer for me Headlight is Genuine replacement fro XS 650 Direct Your build looks perfect I have some stuff I did well and some I would like to do again regards paul

Sorry I am a lousy typist but here is the build Chasis is a 1974 ,all lugs and brackets ground off and brackets welded on for the rear dic master cyl Front forks from a 1978 with dual disc Rear swing arm from an 81 special Motor is a 74 with a 750 kit and 34mm roundslide Mikunid Wheels 18...

The tank is Omars If my wife goes out shopping in the next few days I will weigh it on the bathroom scales Cheers

Hi I just purchased on of these from XS direct It has no instructions I assume that the gasket , aluninum piece and filter are just sandwiched in and held in place by the cover Any other tricks to this Thanks as always Paul
