Everyone tells me I don't have enough numbers/letters in my VIN. The tag on the neck says vehicle ID number 4M4-004507. The same is stamped into the metal in the neck and the front lower part of the motor. It' supposed to be an '80 model. Anyone have an idea of what I have?

Trying to decide if I should order the bronze bushings or go the needle bearing route on my swingarm. I am also going to do the tapered steering head bearing upgrade and was wondering if there is any difference in bearings from All Balls and tcbros choppers? Any feedback would be helpful.

Anyone know of a good engine builder in the Nashville or Memphis, TN area? I could probably do it myself, but I'm too slow.

What I had in mind was to just switch out the gauges and not use any of the indicator lights. My main concern was weather the speedometer will read the correct speed and the tach read correctly.

Anyone know if '78 gauges will work on a '80 model? I don't want to waste my time and money trying to install something that won't work.
