1010cc cafe racer

Thanks guys!
I've got a 2nd build going on, and the seats and tanks will be interchangeable.
Got 3 650 tanks and an xs750 tank which still needs paint.
Some pics in 'shy sister'
Blackbetty, would you mind?
Thanks amigo!

Just in case the wife wants to ride :)

John, where did you get your fuse box?

Wow, what detail.

Great job!

No I mean the fuse panel. It's a blade type I see, but never saw one that small.

John,
Just read your post again, the valves are IN; 41 and EX: 35, which you probably know by now.

Anyway back in 2006 when my guy was doing the flow bench testing on the head, he recommened going up 1 mm on the exhaust.

So I'm running a 36 mm exhaust, intakes are standard.

Never dyno'd the engine so can't give you any good data.

I run a Probe ignition as well, with green Dyna coils, great system.

Oh, was talking about your fuse panel, it's definitely factor but whose?

I'll have to check with my builder on Monday. He doesn't do the weekends.
Artistic quirk :)
Thanks for the info!

I also have those green Dyna's, and I'm sure I'll dyno it eventually.

I'll keep everyone posted

Thanks brian

I mounted my Dyna's on two straps that can be removed so engine will be removable later.

They have since been painted. ha ha

Makes for shorter plug wires.

And I thought Probe suggested standard resistor plugs and copper core plug wires.

Are you'r Iridium's resistor type?

After looking at your pics are you sure the air filters will work. Most go with Uni-pods.

Looks great, Brian!
I'm not very technical, but Mark Whitebook was so helpful and friendly, and he gave me all the specs of everything I needed.

He suggested the coils, plugs and wires that I bought.

We've put a cut off date for the 12th of September for the first ride.

Gonna be a fine day here :)

Carbs were 34's from 650 Central.com at the time Sudco did not sell to anyone but dealers.

I like the pods without the hard plastic in the ends.

You are going to need air flow for that big engine and the type you have will not work, IMHO, at revs. Might be good for Idling around. ha ha

Mine are UP-4229 2 1/4" id 3 od 4 long

Just spoke to my builder.
It's 5.30pm Friday here and he's in the pub :)
Says he found it on the original harness and cut it out and reused it!

The amount of time he's putting in and the attention to detail is only now beginning to show.
He's been busy with this bike for nearly a year now, and I must say, it's been worth the wait and money so far.
I'm really pleased!

I reckon I'll run her with my filters a bit, and see if I can feel a difference if I remove them completely and then make the call about changing them.

Adrenalin is starting to pump, though. Took a parallel bmw twin for a ride today, and remembered why I love 2 wheels.

Very excited to get her home.

Soon....
