For Sale - 1980 hard tail XS650, 18,6xx miles.
Clear MD title as a 1980 Yamaha XS650. Would like to make room for another project.
Runs strong, goes well through all gears, stops good. That said, consider this a project bike that is 90% complete. Paint is mock-up quality. Self built hard tail, floor boards, heal-toe shifter and rear brake actuation. Custom retrofit of an older front drum brake. I believe the tank is a vintage Wassell peanut. Yamaha and Haynes manuals included.
The Good -
Tracks strait, rides smooth.
Rebuilt carburetors.
Tapered roller steering head bearings.
New front wheel bearings.
New front tire.
New chain and sprockets.
Smaller lithium battery.
The Bad -
Front wheel needs re-laced.
Tank needs re-sealed.
Wiring is functional and near stock, could be better concealed.
Needs a few things to pass a State inspection. Front fender, second rear view mirror...?
