1981 Yamaha XS650
Not a show bike but clean and good running condition.
The good:
Starts right up, idles fine, all electricals and lights work as expected.
New tires with less than 500 miles
New front brake caliper, stainless steel line, master cylinder, pads, fluids. New rear brake shoes.
Replaced swingarm bushing with bronze bushings
Fresh tune up with valve clearances checked, fresh oil & filters, etc.
Battery still strong and holding charges
Charging system works well, new brushes
Frame tracks straight, holds a line when riding no hands
Currently registered in VT. No title, but current registration and Bill of sale is enough for Massachusetts and most states
Replaced speedo and tach, so odometer (12xxx) does not reflect actual miles (19xxx). Have pic from day of swap.
Fender chrome is good
The not so good:
Small ding on the tank (left side, top, near your legs) and headlamp bucket.
Gas tank could use a paint job.
Tear in passenger section of seat, currently patched with gorilla tape
Exhaust chrome showing some rust. Still functional, no leaks
Right side tank emblem is missing
