1983 xs650 headlamp fuse

I just got this bike on the road 5 days ago. The headlamp does not work. I checked the fusebox & the headlamp fuse is missing. Inside the fusebox lid are 2 spares. One is a 20 amp fuse about an inch long and the other is shorter by about 3/8's and is marked
BUSS SFE9.

Does anyone know if either of these 2 is the right one for the headlamp?

I would check a lighting circuit diagram for your 83 (google it) and see what size the fuse is supposed to be. My guess is the 20..

Use a 10 amp for the headlights. Don't be surprised if after replacing the fuse, you find another problem....................the PO probably removed the fuse because he was having troubles.

I kinda suspected that. Probably a short somewhere?
