I have a 2001 Honda VTR1000 Superhawk for sale. This has been a great bike, dead reliable and so much fun to ride. It has more power than you'll ever need and sounds better than almost every other sportbike out there. It's a certain head turner and smile maker!!

The bike has 14,620 miles on it with lots of goodies to improve the experience. It has a clean and clear Texas title and a current inspection sticker. Oil change was done about 200 miles ago w/ Hondaline oil and oil filter. The chain was serviced during this time as well; it was scrubbed clean and re-lubed w/ Hondaline chain lube. Additionally, brakes and clutch were bled around 3 months ago w/ new DOT 4 fluid.
Over the past few years of ownership, I've done the following to it:
- Sargent seat
- Kreiger manual CCT's (cam chain tensioners, stock ones are notorious for failing)
- Lightened flywheel
- Honda CBR stick coil ignition upgrade
- Carbon fiber slip on mufflers w/ dB killer baffles (sounds mean, but not annoyingly so)
- Daugherty Motorsports re-valved front forks
- EBC brake pads front & rear
- Upgraded solid state regulator/rectifier
- Galfer wave rotor in the rear
- Frame sliders
- HID retrofit headlight with 4500K bi-xenon bulb
- LED gauge cluster lights (replaced all lights with LED's for better visibility)
- Custom tail lights to make drivers more aware of your presence on the road
- Proto flush mount front turn signals (wired for strobe turn signal)
- Aluminum "VTR" stamped chain guard
- Pair system delete w/ block off plates
- TPS properly adjusted
- Carb sync hoses installed
- Tinted double bubble windshield
- Adjustable levers
- Stainless brake lines, front and rear
- Stainless clutch line
- Brake bleeder banjo bolt
- Reflective red rimstripe tape
- Footpegs lowered 1"
- 1" rear shock spacer
- Tech spec tank grip pads (REALLY help during cornering)
- Tires replaced approximately 3000 miles ago
The bike looks great, but there are a few paint dings here and there from the years of riding. Most of them have been touched up and are hardly noticeable unless you're looking for them, otherwise everything is in tip top shape.
I like to think I've addressed many of the vulnerabilities of the bike (CCT's, TPS, PAIR, headlight, etc.) through careful upgrades. It is an absolute hoot to ride!
