Hey all,
I've built a couple 447's and have my first 256 to rebuild. Just wondering if the only real difference is the pistons, connecting rods, and cam chain? And what else should I look for in the internals? (Not including the ignition/charging/starter.)
I want to rebuild it to 447 spec, but it is a numbers matching bike, so I'm not going to just switch the engine.
Thanks all

Cam chain sprockets on the crank and cam are different sizes compared the the 447 motor, hence the different length chain. A 447 cam can be used if you change the sprocket.

dont some consider the earlier cams better for performance due to the longer duration?
if i remember this right it might be something to consider keeping in your 256 engine.
