650 engine in xs500 Frame?

I just can't lay off the craigslist deals

anyway I drug home a nice xs500 but want to use my spare 650 engine in it. Does anyone remember someone on this forum or other forums doing this?

If so can you find me a link?

Well I took the old 500 engine out and put an old 650 engine case in the bike. It fits fine in every dimension except height, it's too tall by about 2 inches. I just thought I'd let everyone know for future reference.

I figured I should just stick with the xs650 frame. The xs500 frame fits me better in hight and it's nice and skinny, too bad the 500 engine doesn't interest me like the 650 does.
