'71 ridden for the first time since '93

B8ES is the correct plug for a 71.
Your friend has a great friend. I hope he really appreciates your efforts. Beautiful work.

do you think its that important I tell him? It runs great. pulls hills with plenty of throttle left.
Our weather in the Nw is mild as is . a little rich will only keep it from detonating. I have pamcopete;s ign with the high perf coil. should be fine.

I hope he supplies you with lots of beer and a few free meals.
The BP7ES plugs will be fine. It works for most everybody else.
On the older easier to ignight gas the cooler plug worked good, with this alcohlic gas a hotter plug will light it better.
The projected tip helps keep the plug from fouling. With the Pamco and hotter coil you can open the plug gap some, 38-40 works, This gives a larger kernal of spark and the kernal lasts a bit longer, thus further helping to ignight the fuel and getting a more complete fuel burn.
This gives you more power, better milage and less pollution. All good things.
