73 Tx650 gas cap assembly

Hello and thanks for any help regarding reassembly of these pieces that I received from the PO.
What am I missing to latch the cap to the locking latch assembly? Is there a latch piece? Photos of installed cap gratefully accepted, as the parts fiche for the 73 is a) for a different style cap b) not high resolution
