Look again. If the "big ol scratch" you mentioned is on the left side of the tank... in close proximity to the YAMAHA decal... I believe that it is actually the reflection of the floor where the pics were taken.

No the scratch was down the top middle.
But the paint was great(except for the scratch) and no dents or dings.
The inside looked clean.
Lets see hmmm $55(no one bid though) for that tank and $100 paint job you got a new one ,the paint codes are out there.
lawrgj I doubt a nicer one comes along any time soon but if I see one I'll let you know.
wasteful's tank is a cobalt blue off a 79 F model.

I have a black tank, one black sidecover, and one blue sidecover.....the tank is in decent shape but both covers need paint...I paint on the side, if you can find the codes for the paint and pay for supplies, I'll spray everything and ship them to you for $100 shipped.
