'78 650E crack in trans case

How bad is this crack? Also, I ordered another case on eBay, probably should have waited to get some feedback from you folks before ordering, but got a little impatient. This is the part I ordered off Ebay, I'm hoping y'all can tell me I did good, and that the part will fit the bike.

Looks more like a casting flaw than a crack. That's a plugged oil passageway that was drilled and plugged at the factory. Was it leaking there?

Thanks for the reply! No, I don't think it was leaking from there, it's got a little seepage coming from the gasket above, but that's about it. re the gasket above, if it's seeping, could a high temp gasket maker make a good enough seal for it?

Have you re-torqued the head? Oftentimes that will stop that base gasket leak.
