Long time follower of the forums, I feel like Its time to show my project progress. This is my first custom Ive ever done. I'm learning as I go and have found these forums to be an amazing resource. I'm sure you'll see features Ive added that are far from original ideas! Thanks to all the guys posting great how to's and sharing there original ideas. I hope people don't mind the poaching.

Heres a pic of the bike as I got it home and mid tear down. The bike runs, but has a head gasket leak and the starter is pretty tired. Im still trying to get a handle on posting, more to come.

Here"s some pics of the frame mods. I got a David Bird looped 2" stretch 2" Drop frame. The craftsmanship is top notch. Don't inspect my welds to close, I havent finish welded the frame or added the included gussets. The tank i fell in love with is off a 70's Husky dirt bike. This one is my old mans who will not part with it since he still has the original bike.

My home made mid-controls. I used some of the ideas from the forum and my own twists to put these together using some old bike parts and the old peg mounts. It wasnt easy making everything clean with no real metal machines other than grinder, torch, and a drill press.

My rear brake set up. Its unproven yet but I feel like its pretty solid and should work out ok. The brake Pedal pivot is just tacked and Ill adjust it and clean it up when ive got everything ready for final welding.

This is where Im at as of today. Some of the things you may notice is I original had the TC BROs 7metal west 6" fender; it didn't fit the radius and was a bit wide so I returned it. The where awesome to work with by the way. 7 metalwest took almost 14 weeks with no return emails or phone calls. I know this is pretty standard business for him, It just showed up one day and is a beautiful fender. My seat is a bultwell slim with the TC BROS air shock. I fell in love with some of the bikes with the fork covers and I couldn't be happier with the look. I've also got the PMA, Pamco set up and planning on going kick only with no battery. I'm in the process of ordering uni. fender mount kit, handlebars(still undecided), brake/tail light and headlight.

Whoa!!! This bike is looking sweet! I really like the tank and the DB 2" stretch is perfect. I think the next time around I'd want to do the same after seeing this. Definitely looking forward to your updates.

Thanks for the compliments. I'm struggling over bar choices. My top two right now are the Builtwell Tracker bars, mainly because they don't have a lot of pull back and I like the motocross style look. Second is some clip-ons, i love the low sleek look, but I'm a little worried about comfort. It may not seem like it but I hope to ride a lot and want to able to go on decent rides with my Harley buddies(with more gas stops of course). Id love any opinions, suggestions, or pics. Even some pics of people on the bike to show the riding position, Id like to find a happy median between looking good and feeling good.

Its been a busy summer with no riding so I guess now that its cold and raining Ill start working again. I got some bars from another member and made up this license plate holder, I already have an idea to completely change it if clearances work out. I'm getting closer to wiring and finishing fab but decisions are slow and I know the details will make the difference in the end.
