Put in main fuse. Turn on ignition. Blows fuse. Stock bike 21,000 miles. Any ideas? Was missing batt starter rectifiar. Let me know what I can check?

take the 2 lighting fuses out and try it just for fun....same thing???
Have you looked for rat damage?

Double check polarity of battery connections. Remove rectifier and solenoid from the circuit, see if fuse still blows.

I had this similar problem recently and it was the ignition switch. I ohmed wires for a brake and came up empty. I pulled the ignition switch connector and made a jumper wire put the fuse back in and hit the start button and the starter and the fuse was good. While waiting for a new ignition switch I just bought a toggle on off switch. Hope that helps

solved it! my stater was grounding out on the exhaust. first time with this kind of eleectrical system . thanks all
