So I'm converting my 83 TCI over to a Pamco w/ E-Advance ignition. (Along with a Hugh's PMA)

So I went to install the advance rod into the camshaft... inserted the bushings and slipped the rod in... I am a little confused... I was expecting something to be keyed to ensure timing to be maintained. Are the magnets in the rotor spaced in such a manner that it doesn't really matter and there's enough adjustment available to set timing regardless of where I cinch up the advance rod?

Am I missing something? I could not find a thread on installing an advance rod in a TCI bike.

Should be a pin in the cam and a pin the rod. The pamco kit Comes with a cap and they lock those two together. Cam and rod I mean.

Ah-ha... That's where the extra locating pin goes in the camshaft... The hole was facing straight down and I could not seem to locate it. I was able to add the pin and lock the rod and camshaft together... Thanks!
