I use this type
You screw it on and pump the tire and then remove it again Only used while pumping and checking pressure.
It does leak little putting it on and off. But i don't know how to avoid it and it is not more than pumping without it.
I feel it is a working solution

I take mine off after using it. I don't leave it on the valve stem.
