Air box pictures

Hello there
I just bought a 1983 XS650 Heritage Special. i have been going over it and checking things out. i have taken of the carbs and cleanned them. when i put the air box back on it does not seem to fit right. i have searched for soMe pics of an original air box. i looked for parts and it seems that i might me missing some parts at the top of the box that hold it up and back from carbs.

I think mine was just the 2 bolts on the bracket with the battery box. although it's been awhile LOL

under the seat near the gas tank are 4 10mm head bolts two of them hold the battery box mounting brackets the other 2 hold the mounting brackets AND thread down into the top of the airboxes.

Ah so i am missing a small spacer then between air box and battery box. damn will have to look for something like that... kinda figured something was night right ...

There really isn't a separate spacer, it's built into the front battery box mounts, #10 below. You can see the line for the #10 points right at the attached spacer tube .....

Those spacers are made as part of the box mounts. About 3/8 inch.
