Air shocks on an early XS1 or 2??

Just wondering if anyone had gumption to try a set of GL1100, Vulcan, or Harley FLH maybe other type of air shock on the early XS.
To me they look nice in chrome and the lower half look like they can clear the chain/guard. Maybe then Big Mama can come along for the ride.

I'm running Fox Airshox on my track bike and like 'em. Air shocks are easy to adjust.

Very good Sir..I have a question about your Fox shocks, I was shopping the fox brand and noticed they were listed as 13,14 inch and larger.
Question is are they sizing them and other brands fully extended maximum air, and would it be possible to let some air out to get them to the 12 inches I need.?

The air isn't to adjust ride height, it is to control the spring preload of the shock. If you want 12 inch air shocks then you need to get 12 inch air shocks.

Thanks Leo..I was thinking they were like the shocks I had on a car back in the 70`. I could actually lift and lower a few inches by adding air.

Nope, like Leo said. Most of the Fox shock are too long, took me a while to find the 14" ones I'm running.

I tried to put a pair of Goldwing air shocks on but they were too long.
