I get the attraction. The 3 short years I worked at NAS Lemore, CA I enjoyed Speedway racing at the fairgrounds in Vsalia, CA. Dozens of 4 or 5 lap races with crowd favorites and Villians. 37 seconds between the end of one race and the start of another. Nonstop methanol fumes wafting through the stands. Good stuff.
Races again later today starting at 3:15pm for practice.
Practice has started for tonight's AFT race.
