Another clutch cable question

Hello all,

I recently replaced my clutch cable with an ez cable from 650central. Now I know that it is expected to stretch while I use it. I am noticing that the adjustment loosens up while I ride, but after it sits it is adjusted correctly. What could be causing this?

Hi smiles,
there will be some initial stretch but it won't keep doing it.
I think what you are noticing ain't the cable stretching but the crankcase expanding as the engine heats up which is why the cable gets tight again when the engine cools down.

who you callin' "normal" eh?
Us sidecar riders take pride in being different.
The clutch feeling like the cable has stretched when the engine is good and hot and the clutch has been working hard in traffic but it fixes itself after the bike cools down?
Happens to my bike after that kinda use.
Happens more since the bike became a sidecar tug because the clutch has to work harder.

Just to add, I read here that a lot of riders have a hot and cold setting, mine's the same after about 10 mins need to wind out the cable adjuster to take up slack or else you'll never find neutral!!!!
