Anyone have any experience with these Chinese Brembo knock-off brake calipers?

I'm looking for a set of Brembo calipers like the ones used on many Ducatis with 40mm mounting bolt hole spacing. There are a bunch of imitation Brembos on eBay like this.

On the subject, curious and not familiar with the Brembo calipers, there are right side and left side. Is that difference to place the hose fitting on the top of the caliper?

Yes, hose connections and bleeder screws are on opposite ends as the bleeders must be at the top of the Caliper so air will rise to the top where the bleeder is.

I have no experience with them , however I have been very happy with all of the many $13 (including shipping) Chinese handlebar master cylinder/brake levers (with switches) that I have bought, so I wouldn't hesitate to try them, except that I would go cheaper with these:

36 bucks is not a big gamble.

$36 might not be a big gamble but I'm not sure I'd take the gamble with a braking system. You can find a 4 piston Nissin off a sport bike for even less than $36 and I'm guessing it would way out preform this caliper.

Doubtless there are numerous excellent calipers out there to be had for cheap, but what makes the Brembo attractive is that there are off-the-shelf XS650 adapters available for it.
Johnny, be a hero, step up and buy one of the copies, and report back here.

I still haven't decided what route I'm going to take with the brakes. I'll keep you posted when I figure it out.
