im trying to find a cap for it

any input would be chill ... Here some picks if you want more just ask

Is it a cam style or a screw in? Worst case you could have a new bung welded in and then you can pick your own cas cap.

My guess is old aftermarket peanut set up for Tri-BSA chop. Needs a little work,tho...

Its cam style .. there is no threading .. And yeah it needs work . but the inside is beautiful .. I wish I could get a pic .. paint on the outside is screwed up and has white spayed on it IDK what

let me measure the filler neck and ill post that info up .. Im not wanting to go thru the attachment of another bung . My welder wont adjust low enough for sheet metal that thin

im still trying to get someone local to weld the tank my for hardtail :*(

It's a wassell. There used to be a guy on eBay selling those smaller caps. Theres two different styles , one with the larger filler and one smaller. Some are to the sides some are centered. I have two of those tanks. One I welded a new filler on and the other is cap less.

Also if I remember correctly that is the same size cap as triumph oil caps. You may want to search that out instead of wassell gas caps.
