I got these with a pile of supposedly XS1 and XS1B parts that I picked up.
The guy who sold them to me is adamant that he stripped them from a XS1B, but the mudguard (fender) stay lugs integral to the bottom forging have got me thinking they might be from something else entirely.
My only reference point at the moment is my Brooklands Books road test compilation.
The XS1B on the front cover seems to have the lugs on the fork lowers.
But the XS1B that Cycle Guide tested in March 1971 doesn't have the lugs.
1970 XS1 models with the gaitored type forks don't have the lugs in any of the pictures.
So have I got a genuine set of Yamaha forks or are they from a Suzuki or whatever ?
