Battery and Oil Tank Mounting

i just got my battery box and fake oil tank(electronics} Are these mounted solid to frame? I'm building a Brat style bobber. Do they need rubber mounted?

it kinda depends. i had my little cylinder thing mounted solid. but the two mounting point were about 3 inches apart from each other. the thing shook like crazy and was throwing fuses, so i rubber mounted it solved the problem. currently redoing the whole thing anyways.

if you rubber mount it you cant have any grounds within the fake oil tank.

well, you can have grounds within the bag, you will just need to run a jumper to the frame somewhere.

Don't put anything in the fake oil tank that gets warm. Things like coils, reg/rec's. Inside they over heat and if lucky just stop working, If not so lucky, carry a fire extingisher.
