Blue Eadvance

Hi everyone. The kit that can be purchased from MikesXS pma electronic advance. Question the Blue advance is ran by a rotor on the end of the rod that runs through the head. Can I ise the original end that ran amd opened the points or do I need to jse the end that came in the kit? Is there a magnet it the one from the kit?

You need to use the end that came in the kit. Yes, I'm pretty sure it has magnets in it to trigger the ignition. With the original points cam, you would get nothing, no trigger, no spark.
