Hi all, well to keep a long story short, I bought a bike from the wreckers a few years back (81 special), did a half ass job getting it going and looking like what I wanted. Went and lived in Italy for a year, came back rode it for 6 months and now have stripped it down and am going again!. The plan this time is to do it right. I have a previous thread floating around somewhere but thought Id start a new one. So the below pics are the day I brought it home, yesterday and about 5 hours of stripping it down.

It may seem a little over the top stripping it down to make it look the same but, I cut a few corners that i wasn't happy with, learnt a lot of lessons along the way and just wasn't completely happy with the final result (plus my man cave is complete lol). Ill get a rolling frame first, followed by top end/full engine rebuild, onto electrics and go from there. Any tips, hints, advise, suggestions and comments would be much appreciated!

I quite like it the way it is actually! Clean up the rusty and unpolished bits and she's good to go!:bike:

Loving the handlebars, what are they from?!

Cheers Airwolfie! The actual look is pretty much exactly what I wanted and will be going back to. Just properly done! The bars are half moon beach cruiser bicycle handle bars. probably not rated as strong but hey, Im not exactly jumping the thing! lol.
