In preparation for a planned 270 rephase/750 big bore kit I've been researching ignitions. Both Pamco and Boyer have kits for the XS, although I am not 100% sure Boyer offers a kit for a rephase. The prices for a TCI replacement are very similar with both brands, but there is one huge difference: the Pamco kit uses a mechanical advance and the Boyer has a digital unit which does all that. Since mechanical stuff wears etc and thus there can be issues with proper advance at proper RPM etc, I like the idea of the Boyer kit. (Assuming it's available in a 277 rephase version.)

Lots of folks on this forum have used the Pamco. Has anyone had any experience with the Boyer?

I'll help you wih your choice. Boyer does not make one for the rephase. Pamco it is. Not that its a bad thing. The Pamco is a great product.

I have been very happy with my pamco and Pete's service to his customers is second to NONE!!!!!
