Brakes

I was just wondering if anyone has tried to run the brakes off of one master cylinder foot or hand?? If so how did it work if not why?

My thinking is it would work like dual disk setup only one on the front and one for the back. I could see where you would want this setup on the track because of trail braking and all but just out bar hopping I wouldnt see why not. Any input out there??
