Hey everyone.

So i decided to take my engine apart to clean it and referbish the seals, and well i encountered my first "bumb in the build"

Taking my carbs apart and one of my floats was stuck real good so i sprayed it with carb cleaner and then tryed to get the pin out and as i was doing so one of the cast pieces that holds the float pin in place broke.

So this is my questions.

Mikuni VM34 is thats the type of carb in the '80 650sg?
How do i tell if i broke the right side or left side carb?
Best and cheapest place to buy just one carb?

Well any help is appriciated

Ricky

yeah the 80 used the brass float BS34
But the bodies of all the XS650 Bs34's interchange 80-83 BS34's from other engines will not interchange.
The left body has the arm for the throttle cable on the left end of the throttle shaft. The RH body throttle shaft has just has a round washer on the right end. Also the fuel inlets face each other LH carb RH fuel inlet, RH carb LH fuel inlet.
