i have a good set of BS38 carbs, nice and free moving, not gummed up, just went with a different set, the only thing that attaches these together is the choke arm

there is no sync w/ these, you use a double throttle cable

no different than after market round/flat slides
i have a similar set now, no sync required

Sorry - mis-spoke. 'pain in the ass to keep in sync' is what i should have said. And sync is definitely required, whether it's done on a screw in a fixed pair, or on each throttle cable.
